A note from the teacher

When I picked up Sydnie from school today she was not wearing the same shirt I dropped her off in this morning. I found this note in her folder when we got home from school.....

Sydnie was a bit chatty this morning. She needs some reminders to calm down. After lunch, I went to see why she had not finished her assignment. She had not even started. I was unbelievably shocked when I found the reason why. She had been redesigning her clothing. You will find her art work in a bag in her backpack. We had another talk about the proper use of scissors. She was moved to yellow and has lost the use of her scissors tomorrow. You might want to keep her shirt. It could be worth $$$ someday when she becomes a famous designer. You might be able to pick up an iron on to put oer the hole to save the shirt. Yikes, Mrs. Wason

This is what I found in her backpack..... At least her teacher found some humor in it. And the reason this was "another" talk is because Sydnie cut a small piece of her hair one day at school before Winter break. I put a red paper inside her shirt to show off her designer skills.

January fun......

We got home from Dallas on January 2nd in the evening. The girls were so excited about the trampoline that we had to set it up that night. It was light when we started setting it up, but we didn't finish until after dark. We didn't let a little darkness stop us from trying it out. It was about 6:30 pm and 68 degrees outside, so we jumped for over an hour.

Jeff waited until the next day to try it out. I was surprised he got on after he saw how sore I was. I decided I'm too old to play "bum war" with the girls. But man that first night we had so much fun jumping and giggling. :-)

Sooooooo tired.......

A few days after we got home Peyton lost her 2nd top tooth. We were just a little too late to sing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth." She walked around all night calling herself the toothless wonder. The tooth fairy came and left $3 and a Littlest Petshop.

Our trip to Dallas

We loaded up the car and left on Christmas day and we drove and drove and drove! We finally arrived at Ben, Debbie and Chloe's on December 26th. We were so happy to get out of the car! It was such a long drive, but it was worth it to spend time with the family. The girls loved playing with Chloe and being able to see her baby sister Emerson. Here are a few of the fun things we did in Dallas.

Bounce house.

We got out so many of our wiggles at this giant bounce house place. The girls ran from one slide to another until they were so worn out. It was so much fun and even the adults got to play. Ben, Jeff and myself had lots of fun trying to keep up with the girls.

This one is a giant octopus swallowing a pirate ship. It was gigantic!!!
Here is a very blurry Jeff sliding after a blurry Sydnie. My camera just couldn't focus on the flying objects coming at me!!!

A tired Jeff at the bottom of the slide. The adults didn't recover as fast as the kids......

Chloe giggled the whole time we were there. She did a great job of keeping up with Sydnie and Peyton.

A very blurry Peyton. She would get "air" on most of the slides. She was the "craziest" of the girls.

She was so worn out!!!

We went shopping for souvenir's one day. Peyton insisted that I took a picture of this armadillo (after I promised it wasn't real and wasn't dead!)

Sydnie found her inner cow girl in Texas. She loved to say howdy y'all! And she had to try on all of the cowboy hats in the store.

Everything's bigger in Texas!!!!!

Chloe and Sydnie getting ready to go. They were getting beautiful before we went to the movies.

Simply beautiful..... What will they be like when they are teenagers!!!!!

Sydie taking Chloe for a ride in an ice cream truck.

The three amigo's going to see Alvin and the Chipmunk's the squeakquel.

Baby Emerson arrived 12/28/09. She was 8 lbs 7 ounces and was just precious! Here are a few pictures from the hospital. Everyone was so fascinated by her (including me)!!!

Peyton holding her new cousin.

Sydnie wanted to hold her every chance she could get. I'm pretty sure she wanted to bring her home with us.
Chloe snuggling her mommy.
The proud (tired) parents.

Chloe with her mommy and new baby sister. She was so sweet with her. She kept telling us she could hear her baby sister calling her before we took her to the hospital. Oh, she is a sweetheart, I was ready to take Chloe home with us!!!
We had so much fun in Dallas and we were sad to leave. We hope Ben, Debbie and Chloe are enjoying Emerson. We're hoping Emerson is letting them all get some sleep. :-) Congrats Werrett's!!!

Highlights from December.....

Here are some of the highlights from December. We were very busy with singing Christmas carols, Christmas plays, primary activities, making cookies and all the fun things December brings!!! It was a great month.

Sydnie had a Christmas play at school. It was so adorable!!! Here is Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Each class had a different part. On the far left were the Christmas trees and next to them are the presents. Here are the reindeer.

Sydnie's class were Santa's elves.

Here is my little elf and her BFF Marin.

Sydnie and the fabulous Mrs. Wason. We LOVE her!!!!!

Peyton got glasses this month. She also has to wear an eye patch 3 days a week. I guess I should say, she's "supposed" to wear an eye patch, we haven't been very good at that part. She is so cute in her new purple glasses!

Here is our naughty little puppy. It was like having a toddler in the house again for Christmas. She kept taking the snowmen off the bottom of the tree and chewing on them. This was taken after she got in trouble one of the many times throughout the month.

Here is one of her victims. She destroyed this one and he couldn't be saved. She chewed off his arm, scarf and ate his snowballs out of his bucket. He could not be revived and ended up in the garbage.....
Here is another one when I caught her in the act. It's a good thing she is so cute!

Grandpa Dan and Grandma Dorothy stopped by to deliver gifts. It was nice to see them on their quick visit to our house.

Peyton got a giant purple "P" to hang in her room. Sydnie got a giant pink "S". Both of them got a fun packet to create all sorts of cards and crafts with gel pens and glitter glue. They were in heaven!!!!

Syd and Grandpa.

Grandma Judy sent a "pre" Christmas package. When we opened it Peyton said it was the biggest "load" ever. It came with lots of fun things. Here were some Littlest Pet Shops.

Sydnie LOVED the light up gummy bugs (gross)!!!!

Silly snowman head bands.

And have you ever seen bubble wrapped cookies? No, neither had I, but leave it to Grandma Judy to come up with it. Really, it was a great way to ship these tasty little treats. All of them arrived safely and they were delicious.

Silly Sydnie with an ornament she was playing with to be a giant bug!

Christmas Eve
Here is Sydnie making cookies for Santa. She loved cutting out the cookies almost as much as she loved eating the dough. :-)

Me an Peyton making cookies. (picture taken by Sydnie)

Peyton's turn to cut out cookies. She was very careful to get as many cookies as she could. Look at all the cookie cutters she is using at once. I think she had 5 or 6 on this round of dough. She also liked to eat the dough. They get that from their mom.

Frosting cookies. Sydnie only frosted about 4 before she was done and then she gave me instructions on how to frost the rest of hers.

Peyton frosted all of hers and then licked the frosting bowls.

The finished products. Sydnie's are on the left and Peyton's are on the right.

New Christmas pajamas.

Two silly girls!!!

Christmas morning......
Peyton with her Club Penguin fairy penguin.

Sydnie got the Sponge Bob operation game. She was so excited.

Jeff bought her Mr. Crab's. She was so happy! Yes, she is OBSESSED with Sponge Bob!!

Peyton took this picture of her very thoughtful gifts for Jeff. They included a magnet and pen that say #1 Dad, a frog that you push the back and it jumps (for when he gets board at work) and a mini green monster truck. She picked out all the gifts at the school holiday gift shop and took the picture herself.

Here is part of the gift Sydnie got from Max. It is a set of nail polish and make up. There were also some princess books and other fun stuff, but the make up was her favorite. Sydnie loves her makeup!
Here is Peyton opening one of her Zhu Zhu pets from Grandma Judy.

Here is the big present for the girls from us this year. They were so excited to get a trampoline.

Jeff picked up a Handy Manny tool belt for Sydnie (she requested tools, so she could fix things). She is the cutest little girl in a tool belt and work gloves!
Sydnie playing with the color explosion from Grandma Vickie and Grandpa Michael and Peyton playing with the Zhu Zhu pet city.

We decided the little white hamster was the sneakiest and the smartest!

Here he is again driving away in his little car. They are so very cute!

We had a wonderful December and Christmas holiday! We hope all of our friends and family near and far had a great season too!
