Easter weekend

Our community puts on a fabulous Easter "Eggstravaganza" every year. It is full of activities, inflatable bounce houses, egg hunts for all ages and lots of friends and neighbors! This was our 2nd year in attendance. The girls had so much fun running from one thing to another, finding friends and just having a good day in the sunshine!

Here is Peyton sporting her egg tattoo. Of course Sydnie had to have one too!

Sydnie was a little silly while waiting for the egg hunt to begin. She thought she was pretty funny!
Sydnie, Morgan and Griffin waiting to go get the eggs. Ready,

get set,

GO!!!!!! The eggs only lasted on the ground for about 25 seconds. Luckily they split it up by age group so everyone has an equal chance.
Here's Peyton and Matt waiting for their turn to get some eggs. Chaos ensued and I didn't get any pictures of them actually "collecting" eggs.

The Easter Bunny was there too. So cute!
We had to run after the EB for this picture. I think Peyton had the last photo of the day with the Bunny. She is getting so BIG!!!
Oh and there was dancing....

Lots and lots of dancing. Peyton put on quite the show. She was joined by Sydnie, Ava, Whitney and Kristen.

Sydnie couldn't resist rolling down the grassy hill.

She talked Ava into joining her.

We finished off the outdoor fun with a quick stop at the park.
We love the park!!!
Then it was home to color eggs.

The finished project. Such beautiful eggs!

Sydnie's beautiful creations.
And they made a special "get well dad" egg for Jeff. Oh, wait, where has Jeff been all day?????

Oh, and we had to have a talk about the dye being for the eggs, not for Sydnie's fingers. As you can see, she didn't listen very well. :-)
Here is poor, sore Jeff recovering from his kidney stone surgery. This is where he spent most of the Easter weekend. Resting and staying very well medicated.
Very WELL medicated..... :-)

Easter morning. Searching for eggs.

More searching.....

Counting their eggs to make sure they found them all. Peyton organized hers into colors.
Sydnie just counted hers.

At our house the Easter Bunny hides the baskets and you have to follow clues to find them. This year Peyton found hers in the hall closet.

It contained a kick board to use at the pool, Littlest Petshops, goggles, a Webkinz and candy (Sydnie's had the same items).

Sydnie searching for clues to find her basket.
She found her basket under the sink in the guest bedroom bathroom.
Jeff and Hailey's basket (no searching required).

Even Zuri got a basket. It had a toy, some chew sticks and a few eggs filled with dog treats.

Happy puppy!
We had a fun filled, very busy weekend! The weather was great, the kids were happy and my chocolate stash has been replenished! We hope you all had a Happy Easter. We miss you!!!!

Beautiful flowers that are blooming everywhere! Our allergies are also in full bloom and driving us all crazy.

Pretty flowers and silly girls.
